Modern Design

The SportStar MAX design is based on the EASA JAR-VLA certified aircraft and reflects the latest development in design, safety and cockpit comfort found in modern light sport aircraft. The useful load being the largest in its category and a flying range of up to 700 miles make the SportStar MAX the perfect aircraft for tourism and travel.

The comfortable and spacious cockpit of a stylish arrangement, state-of-the-art avionics, and an outstanding all-around cockpit view will keep you relaxed both during training and cross-country flights. The SportStar MAX cockpit has shoulder room of 1.18 m (more than Cessna / Piper four-seaters), providing enough space even for taller pilots.

The stylish cockpit is equipped with comfortable seating, adjustable pedals, and an efficient heating and ventilation system. An almost 360° all-round view provides you the perfect cockpit view and situational awareness during all phases of flight.

  • Garmin GTX 330 Mode S Transponder

Leading the Way to ADS-B with ES Upgrade

Transponder GTX 330 (mode S) ES  Extended Squitter, technology the GTX 330 takes the lead in providing a pathway to ADS-B compliance for the Next Generation airspace system. Using precise GPS-referenced positioning information, the extended squitter technology enables transponders to automatically transmit more accurate, and more useful, traffic surveillance data — including aircraft flight ID, position, altitude, velocity, climb/descent, and heading information (compared to traditional Mode S and Mode C transponders, which can only broadcast altitude, and thus require ground-based radar to correlate and identify the aircraft’s position)

  • GPS – Garmin aera 796

  • 3-D Navigation with MFD and EFB Capability

    • 3D Vision perspective view displays terrain, obstacles, airports, traffic and more
    • Access to global georeferenced charting options, document viewer and more
    • Easily access street intersections for quick navigation
  • Comprehensive Aviation WeatherGDL 39 features ADS-B “In” datalink technology that allows it to receive subscription-free Flight Information Service-Broadcast (FIS-B) weather information over the FAA’s 978 MHz Universal Access Transceiver (UAT) uplink. Easily access animated NEXRAD radar, METARs, TAFs, winds and temperatures aloft, PIREPs, NOTAMs and more right on your compatible Garmin aviation portable or through the Garmin Pilot app on your iPad® or Android™ device.¹
  • Spot Potential Traffic Threats

GDL 39 can receive ADS-B position reports directly from other aircraft in your vicinity. Because the FAA permits ADS-B broadcasts on 2 frequencies (978 UAT and 1090 ES), GDL 39 contains both receivers so you can see a comprehensive view of all ADS-B “Out” equipped targets. The compatible display² will alert you by announcing traffic targets both audibly and visually. Spoken audio alerts announce “Traffic, Traffic” to get you looking right away.

ADS-B “In” technology also allows the GDL 39 to receive Traffic Information Service-Broadcast (TIS-B) information. TIS-B allows you to view the same dynamic traffic picture that ATC ground controllers are seeing when you’re either participating with an ADS-B “Out” solution or within a certain range of another ADS-B “Out” participating aircraft when within a service area.³ Our correlation technology automatically displays the highest-integrity traffic data from multiple sources, preventing ghost or duplicate targets.
